Students will form small groups (3–4 students), or this assignment can be completed as homework. They will review the basic model that explains a country’s economic growth and perform data analysis on the provided data for China. After reading about China’s economic reforms, students will follow the instructions and answer the questions with guidance. This assignment is divided into three parts. First, students will apply China’s economic reforms to the economic model. Second, they will discuss whether the model explains China’s recent exponential growth. Third, they will make predictions about China’s future development based on the economic model.
