Agenda for the Third CACI Seminar

Date: April 11, 2025

1.      Professor Yuchen Chen’s presentation, “China as a ‘Black Box’? On Researching and Teaching China’s Techno-Governance” (9:30 – 10:10 a.m.)

Yuchen Chen, an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Baruch College will give a talk on her research and teaching experiences. See presentation here

2.      Juan Acevedo’s presentation on online apps (10:10-10:35 a.m.)

Juan will introduce class activities for the repository. See video and handout here.

3.   Teaching Fellows’ Presentation (10:35 – 11:15 a.m.)

Five Teaching Fellows will present plans to incorporate China-related content into their teaching. Each Fellow will have approximately eight minutes.  

4.      Discussions (11:15 – 11:25 a.m.)

We will discuss the teaching plans of the Five Fellows, address their concerns, and brainstorm how to document and subsequently circulate their pedagogical resources. 

5.      Concluding remarks (11:25-11:30 a.m.)

Jennifer Holdaway will conclude the seminar with a few comments.
